![]() Other than that everything is very straight forward. It could probably be re-sewn if you care about that sort of thing. I also had to open up the hole in the shift boot to get the shifter up through that. I did this with a 90 degree die grinder and a grinding stone. (I had the trans already out) it is straight bolt in except for cutting clearance in the console trim. Installation is pretty easy with the e36 mount. Gear changes feel the way they should now. The only thing that gets reinstalled is the selector rod. This shifter gets rid of the plastic cup, the rear bushing, and the whole shifter arm setup. Now, the shifting is very positive, and very fast. I refuse to shift during autocross runs, just because the possibility of missing a shift is so high. I have always hated the shifter in my car. He went above and beyond to make things work for me. That is how it is how customer service is done. He said if it worked, I could pay him after I got it installed. It shipped out that day, at no charge to me. It was not going to work, as the six holes used to mount it did not line up over metal. I had a little trouble with the original mount (for an e30). ( ) First off, their service is absolutely top notch. ![]() So I got a new shifter, and I thought I would do a quick review.
